Outdoor Program
Joey's Outdoor (0-2 years old)
The outdoor program consists of a variety of learning stations that target different areas of learning. In both yards we have an area for gross motor where the children are able to participate in activities that focus on attributing to the children’s physical health.
Dramatic play (home corner) is also an area in the yard were the children are able to be creative with their imagination and engage in various forms of role play/storytelling.
We have a reading area and table activities set up too, which are mainly to support the children’s fine motor and language development. Areas such as the sandpit, construction area and the creative arts/sensory area are all learning zones that are also accessible for the children’s learning and enjoyment.
The outdoor learning experiences are changed over depending on the children's interests and needs.
In terms of sustainable education, every week the children are provided with new learning experiences that involve and support sustainable learning. Our sustainable education range's from exploring our outdoor environment and using those natural resources in our craft to encouraging recycling and reusing and sometimes even using those recycled materials in our everyday program. Please note these programs are evaluated and changed following the children's needs. We encourage your suggestions and feedback towards the programs.
